The first hour of yesterday's Forum (on KQED-FM) was dedicated to women's health and the NIH's attempts to establish research priorities in this area. That agency's Office of Research on Women's Health is gathering public comment at a series of townhall meetings (including one this week in San Francisco) and will unveil a 10-year research plan next year.
The Forum show, which featured UCSF obstetrician Linda Giudice, MD, PhD, and Vivian Pinn, MD, director of the women's health office, can be heard here. The San Francisco Chronicle also prepared a story.
