The U.S. National Library of Medicine has made six historic science books available on the Web in high resolution. The browsing experience is fairly good and the books are fascinating to look at. According to the project's introduction page, the books are also available for viewing on touchscreen kiosks at the library.

Pictured above are two pages from Andreas Versalius' De Humani Corporis Fabrica, which, according to the library, is considered one of the most influential works in the history of Western Medicine.
