Today Spoonful of Medicine, a Nature blog, discusses some of the best, based-on-a-true-story medical movies. Included on the list is one of my favorites, "Something the Lord Made," an HBO movie about heart-surgery pioneers that was prescreened here at Stanford a few years ago. (I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek and hear from Robert Robbins, MD, about how far cardiovascular medicine has come since the film took place.) What are your some of your favorite medical movies? What's missing from the list?
