Stanford stem cell researcher James Weimann, PhD, is slated to be interviewed tomorrow on the highly regarded (and very fun) Science Friday program on National Public Radio. Weimann will be discussing research he published in the Journal of Neuroscience this week (subscription required for full-length article) showing that neurons arising from mouse embryonic stem cells can form proper connections with other brain cells in young mice. Although any human therapy from the technique is still a long way out, the work brings it one step closer. Tune in at noon tomorrow to hear Weimann discuss his research with program host Ira Flatow.
