Web tools built for disaster response in Haiti repurposed for Chile

Brady Forrest of O'Reilly Radar has assembled a list of Web tools that were designed for the disaster response in Haiti and are now also being used for Chile:

Earlier today Chile experienced a massive earthquake (you can see images of the damage on The Big Picture). Now, just hours after the event online disaster relief sites are being spun up to aid the survivors. These are all variations on sites that were created to help Haiti survivors.

The entry offers a host of links, including those to Google Crisis Response and the Chile Person Finder. In aggregate, these tools show how effective social media can be in aiding disaster-relief efforts.
