Marilyn Monroe chest X-ray going on auction

Monroe_Xray.JPG

Among the trove of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia being auctioned off this summer is an X-ray of the starlet's chest and the couch from her psychiatrist's office. The radiograph above, which is featured in a Today Show slideshow, is from 1954.

The mid-century modern daybed pictured is from the Beverly Hills home office of Ralph Greenson, MD. According to the auctioneer's release (.doc), Greenson treated Monroe from approximately 1960 until her death on Aug. 5, 1962.
Although medical memorabilia is rare, X-rays from Elvis Presley have sold for as much as $3,120 in past.
