Mickey Mouse: “Doctors always know best”

Letters of Note has posted some amusing correspondence from Disney Studios about some harmful X-rays in one of its comic books. Apparently the story caused a great deal of anxiety amongst young patients in Pennsylvania. The letter, from 1932 and signed by Mickey Mouse, was meant to put young patients at ease and remind them that:

. . .when anything gets wrong with ME, the first thing I do is go to a hospital. And then I do whatever the doctor tells me.

‘Cause doctors always know best.

Head over to Letters of Note for the context and for the rest of the letter.
