ScienceBlogs ends Pepsi-sponsored nutrition blog

scope_soda_crushed.jpg

After an outpouring of criticism for a PepsiCo-sponsored nutrition blog, ScienceBlogs has pulled the plug on Food Frontiers. Adam Bly, head of the blog network, writes:

We apologize for what some of you viewed as a violation of your immense trust in ScienceBlogs. Although we (and many of you) believe strongly in the need to engage industry in pursuit of science-driven social change, this was clearly not the right way.

Now let us pour some fizzy sugar water on the ground in memory of Food Frontiers.
