The Mayo Clinic is launching a new "Center for Social Media:"
Mayo Clinic today announced the creation of a Center for Social Media to accelerate effective application of social media tools throughout Mayo Clinic and to spur broader and deeper engagement in social media by hospitals, medical professionals and patients to improve health globally.
In the video above, Victor Montori, MD, the center's interim medical director discusses the move. This is a smart and potentially innovative initiative; Mayo clearly recognizes a nearly wide-open opportunity.
