Stanford "rock doc" talks about science as a career

This morning I wrote about Stanford neurologist Frank Longo, MD, PhD, teaming up with musician Bret Michaels for a campaign to increase awareness of the importance of medical research. In the Rock Stars of Science video above, Longo shares his thoughts on science as a career and explains how his younger sister, who was born with cerebral palsy, inspired him to do research on the brain:

I would go with my mother to my sister’s doctor’s appointments and I thought as I waited in the waiting room, she would come out walking. And that was my frustration as a child, ‘Why couldn’t the doctors fix my sister’s brain and make her walk?
