Playwright takes health care to the stage

Playwright Anna Deavere Smith was on NPR yesterday, discussing "Let Me Down Easy", her one-woman show that "looks at broad concerns about healthcare through the eyes of celebrities and everyday Americans." Deveare Smith talked about what she learned from preparing for the show, and how she shares the concerns of Stanford's Philip Pizzo, MD, one of the "characters" she plays in the show, about our deteriorating healthcare system. She also discussed these topics during a 1:2:1 podcast from 2009.
