When Richard Scofield was too ill to attend his daughter's wedding, the nurses and staff members at Stanford Hospital & Clinics brought the wedding to him. The special occasion was held last Friday in a hospital conference room that had been transformed into a chapel with red and pink decorations, flowers and rose petals. As hospital musician Barbary Grant played "Here Comes the Bride" on her harp, Scofield walked his daughter Leslie down the aisle where she exchanged vows with her soon-to-be husband Mike. Afterwards, guests were treated to wedding cake and toasted the couple with strawberry lemonade.
