Congratulations to the School of Medicine's Class of 2012 and to their families!
This year, U.S. Food and Drug Administration commissioner Margaret Hamburg, MD, a longtime public health expert, will deliver the keynote speech at the medical school graduation.
Moria Cairns Chambers and Krishnan Subrahmanian were selected to be the student speakers at today's commencement. Chambers is a PhD candidate in microbiology and immunology. Subrahmanian is an MD candidate with a residency in pediatrics and global health. They were chosen to speak in a vote by their classmates.
The ceremony will take place that day at 2 p.m. on the Alumni Lawn, the green in front of the Li Ka Shing Center for Learning and Knowledge.
All of us at Scope wish the graduating class the very best.
