Stanford structural biologist named one of Forbes Magazine’s 30 under 30 rising stars

Today, Forbes released  its annual list highlighting 30 up-and-coming stars under the age of 30 in 12 different categories. Among those selected by the magazine as “tomorrow’s brightest talent” in the field of science and health is Adam de la Zerda, PhD, an assistant professor of structural biology at Stanford.

Matthew Herper writes that the magazine selected the 28-year-old scientist for his work using:

nanotechnology to create new ways to watch how molecules interact within the body, leading to insights at the cellular level of what goes wrong in diseases such as cancer and age-related macular degeneration, a leading cause of blindness. His papers have been published in Nature Medicine, Nature Nanotechnology, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
