Being a mom and a doctor: One blogger shares her struggles

Late last week, in a candid guest post over on Mothers in Medicine, obstetrician/mom "KC" described her struggles with being away from her young son and shared that the "feelings of guilt that I tackle on a daily basis are at times overwhelming." I'm not a doctor, but as a mom who works outside the home, I could relate to much of what KC wrote about (okay, maybe not the being on call and delivering-a-baby stuff but certainly the feelings of sadness that come from driving away from your children each day - even when you love your job). It's a must-read.
