Stanford University School of Medicine

Class of 2016 to graduate on Saturday

The years of hard work are about to pay off: On Saturday, the School of Medicine will award MS, MD and PhD degrees during a day of ceremony and celebration.

Peter Kim, PhD, the Virginia and D.K. Ludwig Professor and a professor of biochemistry, will present the commencement address. Other speakers include Lauren Popov, a PhD graduate in microbiology and immunology, and Muthu Alagappan, a MD graduate who is known for his work on basketball statistics. (Might there be a Warriors reference in his talk?)

The ceremony kicks off at 1 p.m. on the Alumni Green near the Li Ka Shing Center for Learning and Knowledge. We'll be sharing photos over the weekend on the school's Instagram and Facebook page; you can also follow along (and share your own photos!) using the hashtag #StanfordMed16.
