Pain is the pits and, in the U.S., one of the most common forms of disabling discomfort is back pain. To address this widespread problem, Stanford is hosting Back Pain Education Day this Sunday.
At this free community event, Stanford pain experts will share the latest information on resources, research opportunities and treatments for people with back pain. This year's talks will address a range of topics including the psychology of pain, how movement can act as medicine and the relationship between pain and the brain.
The event is full, but you can still take part in the event by watching the presentations live on YouTube or Facebook, beginning at 10 AM Pacific time on Sept. 11. You can also join the conversation online by using the hashtag #BackPainDay2016.
